One of the main characters in "Liyana," the truly iconic storyteller, Gcina Mhlophe, has been chosen as one of 21 ICONS of South Africa. Her work is spotlighted alongside that of Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, and Hugh Masekela!
We are honored to have Gcina intimately involved in "Liyana" as a story advisor to us as filmmakers, and as the children's guide on their creative journey in the film.
